Caused by the invasion of a host by agents whose activities harm the host’s tissues   Fungi are microorganisms that include yeasts and moulds.

Anti-infectious
pertaining to an agent that prevents or treats infection

Infection
1. the invasion of the body by pathogenic microorganisms that reproduce and multiply, causing disease by local cellular injury, secretion of a toxin, or antigen-antibody reaction in the host.
2. a disease caused by the invasion of the body by pathogenic microoorganisms.
